Now Hiring: Gatehouse Attendant (Competition #26-01)
Parkland County has multiple casual positions available for Gatehouse Attendant working from May to approximately September 2026. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Parks, these positions are responsible for the overall control and management of the boat launch at Jackfish Lake and the Sundance Boat Launch (Wabamun). Duties include but are not limited to tracking facility use, collecting parking fees, ensuring users are parking and utilizing the launch and facilities appropriately, monitoring amenities for cleanliness, stocking supplies and answering public inquiries.

The total rewards package for this position includes:
An hourly rate of pay of $22.60 to $25.38 based on flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience dealing directly with the public and/or working in a public facility along with prior cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and maintain an effective, tactful, service orientated relationship with the public.
- Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
- Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License. A current Driver’s Abstract must be provided at own expense, upon hire.
